Bio

Growing up, our parents instilled in us learning all we can.  Me being the eldest, I started helped my siblings out with their schoolwork.  Later I helped other students while in college as needed.  I’ve worked as teaching assistant, substitute teaching assistant, substitute teacher, highly qualified Bilingual Teacher & Spanish Teacher in the school system.

Above is a photo of me when I studied abroad at the former CETLALIC (CEntro TLAhuica de Lenguas e Intercambio Cultural) in the state of Morelos, city of Cuernavaca, Mexico.  From there our group did some weekend traveling and visited one of the historical sites. I've also had the opportunity to live in the mountainous and coastal southern Spain & experience the oh-so-delicious food called paella!  Knowing Spanish before traveling to Latin America and Spain helped me tremendously, and I have even been able to form some long-standing connections to this day.

For as long as I could remember, I’ve had a combined passion for learning, a love of the Spanish language, and a desire to travel which allowed me opportunities to study & live as the local people.  Now, in the capacity of Online Teacher and Tutor, I want to share & help others who may either feel like giving up & are struggling with the language, or to those who may really want to get a great start & to become fluent in the language.

  • How does a Meet & Greet work?
    We meet through video conferencing, normally via Zoom, or a call. This is to get to know more about each other, see what specific struggles & goals are, how I can help you to reach them, and whether we are a good fit. I see what specific areas your child needs help with, then customize lessons to address those specific areas of challenge. I answer any other specific questions your family may have. If all parties agree, then we move forward with setting the first tutoring session.
  • How does online tutoring work?
    Online tutoring is a simple & efficient way of tutoring. I have more tools & resources at my disposal to better help your child. Plus you and your student will get more specific feedback during their customized tutoring session.
  • How much does tutoring cost?
    Cost really depends on your student’s specific needs. I want to get to know your child’s specific needs & how I can help him/her win in Spanish.
  • How much tutoring does my child need?
    Recommended frequency depends on the challenges in Spanish your student is facing, and what would best fit his/her needs, including window of time. Either way, it would be a shorter length of time and better results tutoring with ¡Hola! Spanish Tuition than with an agency that tutors multiple students at different levels in one group.
  • Does online tutoring really work effectively?
    Yes! There are several advantages to tutoring online where your teen is getting exclusive or small group attention: - Sessions can take place in the comfort of your home or wherever you are in the world. - There is no commute time. - Sharing dicuments digitally is quick. Scan, email, or share an image from a smartphone or tablet on a platform. - Unlike getting a different tutoor when you work with most tutoring centers, you get the same tutor consistently-yours truly!!
